Hi, I am Alicia Garside.

I am an award-winning Canadian photographer with over 13 years of professional experience, now based in Nova Scotia after spending more than a decade building my photography business in the UK.

I specialise in commercial, brand and people photography, working with businesses, entrepreneurs and individuals to create imagery that feels natural, polished and purposeful. From brand campaigns and headshots to products, interiors and lifestyle photography, my approach is always centred around creating photographs that actually work for you.

Having worked with businesses of all sizes — from independent brands to international companies — I bring both creative direction and commercial experience to every shoot. I understand that great photography isn't simply about making something look beautiful; it needs to communicate who you are, build trust and help people connect with your brand.

I'm now based in the Halifax area and work throughout Nova Scotia and Atlantic Canada, while continuing to work with established clients in the UK.

Outside of photography, I'm usually with my family, at a hockey rink, exploring Nova Scotia or planning whatever adventure comes next. After years of living in England, returning to Canada has given me an entirely new landscape — and a whole new collection of businesses and people to photograph.

A Beautiful Curious
